Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzhak Goldknopf held his first working meeting with Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg, during which they discussed new and future projects and plans for the development and construction in the city for the coming years.
Minister Goldknopf said: "The city of Beit Shemesh will double in size, G-d willing, while alongside the new neighborhoods, emphasis is placed on significant development of the existing neighborhoods - the new together with the old."
During the meeting they discussed the development and growth that the city has experienced in recent years, and the tens of thousands of new homes in RBS D and Neve Shamir, and the city's growth potential, existing resources, industry, employment and commerce.
In the coming days, marketing of about 3,500 housing units will be launched in neighborhood RBS H2, in addition to a 'Heskem Gag' agreement that will double the city's size by adding over 30,000 housing units!
