Jerusalem
Location: (JERU40)

1.JPG

Built on private land registered in the Israel Land Registry, (Tabu), the property is located in a quiet, street at the crossroads between Jerusalem’s Talbiyeh and German Colony neighbourhoods and is flanked by green land on two sides and low-rise, private homes on the other two sides.

Originally a two-storey home built in the 1880’s, two extra floors and a red-tiled slatted roof have been added, benefitting from all four air-flow directions. According to the strict regulations of the Jerusalem Municipality’s Department of Conservation, the ground and lower floors have been expertly restored and renovated, whilst maintaining the unique character of the original home. The two newly-added upper floors reflect a modern style which beautifully blend as complimentary additions to the style of the two lower floors.

An elevator shaft has been prepared for access to all floors.

The building is covered with the unique Jerusalem red slayeb - the luxurious, primary stone used since antiquity for its strength and hues and so synonymous with the City of Gold. The walled courtyard is paved with equally-luxurious, rustic and durable travertine stone. [Used by Ancient Romans, travertine is non-slippery in the winter rains and heat-resistant in the scorching summers].

Within the courtyard area, there is parking for up to four vehicles. There is also owner eligibility for area parking permits and plenty of available paid and free street parking in the vicinity.

The building is entirely air-conditioned, each floor with its own separate system. A water-based underfloor heating system has been installed throughout the building.

The ground level entrance accessed through a courtyard. On this floor, there are spacious living areas, kitchen, bathroom, and guest toilet.
